By downloading, installing, or using Book-a-Cook ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Book-a-Cook is a mobile application that helps users:

• Organize and manage their cookbook collection
• Track kitchen ingredients across fridge, freezer, and pantry
• Discover recipes based on available ingredients
• Save recipes from various sources including TikTok
• Generate shopping lists

3. User Accounts

Some features require you to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Subscription and Payments

Book-a-Cook offers both free and premium subscription tiers:

• Free Tier: Basic features with limited AI usage
• Premium Subscription: Full access to all features including unlimited AI usage

Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's Terms of Service.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create or upload to the App (recipes, notes, photos). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store and sync your content across your devices
• Process your content to provide App features (e.g., AI recognition)

We will not share your personal content with third parties without your consent.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the App
• Interfere with other users' enjoyment of the App
• Upload malicious content or malware
• Violate any intellectual property rights
• Use automated systems to access the App without permission

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy or modify the App
• Create derivative works
• Distribute or sell the App
• Remove any copyright notices

Recipe content from cookbooks and third-party sources remains the property of their respective owners.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including:

• Firebase (authentication and data storage)
• OpenAI (AI features)
• TikTok (recipe extraction via Share Sheet)

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Recipe information or AI-generated content is accurate
• The App will meet your specific requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time through the App settings.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
