RightToRecord — Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

RightToRecord (“the app”, “we”) helps you record video that is uploaded live to secure cloud storage and kept in a private, passcode/Face ID–protected vault. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

We do not collect contacts, location, advertising identifiers, or track you across other apps or websites.

How your data is stored

How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on these processors to operate the service: Google Firebase (authentication), Cloudflare R2 (storage), a PostgreSQL host (metadata), Fly.io (application hosting), and Apple (in-app purchases). Each processes data only to provide their part of the service.

Account & data deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Home → Delete Account. This immediately and irreversibly deletes all of your recordings, your metadata, and your sign-in identity. There is no recovery after deletion.

Data retention

We keep your recordings and account data until you delete a recording, delete your account, or your account is closed. Deleting your account removes everything.

Children

RightToRecord is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. The in-app account deletion satisfies deletion requests; for others, contact us.
