RightToRecord — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and RightToRecord ("we", "us") governing your use of the RightToRecord app and services ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

RightToRecord records video and uploads it to cloud storage so it is retained in a private, passcode/Face ID–protected vault. You are responsible for using the Service lawfully, including complying with all recording, consent, wiretapping, and privacy laws that apply to you and to anyone you record.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Keep your vault passcode confidential.

3. Your content

You own the recordings you create ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and process Your Content solely to operate the Service for you (for example, uploading, hosting, and playing it back). We do not access your recordings except as needed to provide the Service or as required by law. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for the legality of recording it.

4. Subscriptions & billing

RightToRecord offers Free, Pro, and Max plans. Paid plans are auto-renewable subscriptions sold through Apple's App Store.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You manage, cancel, or change subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to violate any law or another person's rights, to record where you have no legal right to do so, to upload unlawful content, or to interfere with or attempt to breach the security of the Service.

6. No legal advice; no guarantee of evidence

The Service is a recording and storage tool. It does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee that any recording will be admissible as evidence or sufficient for any legal or other purpose. Consult a qualified professional for legal matters.

7. Availability & "as is" disclaimer

We work hard to capture and preserve your recordings, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that recording, uploading, or playback will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any recording will be captured, transmitted, or retained without loss. Device, network, storage, and other factors outside our control may affect the Service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of recordings, data, or profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, which permanently removes your account and recordings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
